Former Secretary of State John Kerry is denying an NBC News report that said he was overheard discussing the possibility of running for president in 2020 -- even as he campaigns for Joe Biden. The report was based on an NBC political analyst hearing Kerry’s side of a telephone conversation as he sat in a Des Moines hotel lobby restaurant. Kerry tweeted after the report that he told the reporter he is “absolutely not running for President.” An initial tweet from Kerry was even more emphatic, using an expletive to push back on any reporting suggesting he was planning a campaign.
